Dear Supporters, Prayer Partners & Friends,
Greetings! I want to thank you for your prayer and support and for making missions happen continually in Haiti at this time of great need. Just last week, our medical ministry gave medical care to 374 patients in 3 days, provided medications for all of them and distributed 21 tents to 21 families. We trained our people in the area of CPR and first aid and conducted some special activities for the children.
Through the preaching of the Word many souls came to know the Lord and through prayer sessions, we prayed for several people in our midst that have lost their homes, their loved ones and belongings and prayed on the streets of Port-au-Prince in front of the rubble of the national palace that collapsed last January.
The Lord has been faithful in allowing you to steadfastly minister to us in the spirit of the good samaritan. You have been so helpful to our recovery both spiritually and physically. We can only be thankful for what has been accomplished so far.
Yet with all this effort on a short term, much remains to be done on the long term. We have a church to rebuild, another church to repair, and we need to relocate our school ministry for safety reasons before the year is over. Just to tell you how much substantial support we will need to recover from the blow of the last earthquake and to go forth with other projects. Thank you again for standing with us.
The good news is tragedy is about to bring forth a new melody. How can we sing a new song unto the Lord unless we experience a breakthrough from the Lord? Coming out of suffering makes praising the Lord thrilling. Weeping may endure a whole night, but joy always comes in the morning.
Because of the long pause due to the earthquake, school will be closed until August and re-opened in October. November is general election in Haiti. The Haitians will vote for a new president and a new parliment. Please start praying even now that the Lord makes something good happen to Haiti. Pray for our family that the Lord will direct and guide us in the way that we should go. And pray for strength as we have to start rebuilding and repairing. God is good!
